Cape Town
Renowned as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, this seaside playground has it all. Adventures in Cape Town are around every corner with Table Mountain dominating the landscape. And with the Atlantic and Indian Oceans on the city’s doorstep there are great adventure activities on offer for everyone.
Beyond the cityscape, Cape Town has awesome spots to go kloofing (also known as canyoning). Involving a mix of abseiling, hiking, swimming and leaping off cliffs that are 3 to 20 m high into rivers and rock pools, it's sheer insane fun. Then there's sand boarding, much the same as snowboarding - just ditch the snow in favour of sand dunes.
Johannesburg
Founded on a gold rush; it’s the financial and entertainment epicentre of the country. The city rocks in more ways than one.Johannesburg is known for its incredible nightlife. From the funky clubs and pubs of Soweto to the laid-back jazzy groove of Newtown and the stylish venues of the Northern suburbs This dynamic city has a range of restaurants – from pub 'n grub bars to pizza take-outs, African-inspired eateries to delightful delis serving everything from a great cup of coffee to healthy meals.. Must-do activities include the Apartheid Museum and Constitution Hill to find out more about South Africa's turbulent past; sundowners at The Westcliff hotel overlooking the green belt of Johannesburg while listening to the lions roar from the nearby Johannesburg Zoo; shopping up a storm at any of the many designer malls such as Sandton City, Nelson Mandela Square, Rosebank Mall and Soweto's Maponya Mall; and as a fitting end to all the fun, a visit to one of many healthy and beauty spas.
Durban is an exciting city in which to play, shop, experience the nightlife and to relax.
If you’re looking for a hot destination - Durban is it! From its sultry nightlife, weather, beaches and heady cultural mix to its famous curries.
Fun adventures in Durban are waiting around each and every corner. Spike your adrenaline at Gateway Theatre of Shopping at La Lucia Ridge, not too far from Durban's main entertainment drag. It has a powerful Wavehouse and an indoor climbing wall, which, at 23 metres is the highest in the world (but still great for beginners and experts alike). Gateway also offers super-fast go-karts, a Tony Hawke-designed skate park for those who love this hugely popular sport and the world's only double D-rex wave pool for indoor surfing.
If it's peace and sheer beauty you are after, make for Durban's nature sanctuaries or parks. The Botanical Gardens are of particular interest - ask about their 'Music by the Lake' evenings - wonderful music played by KZN's Philharmonic Orchestra in wonder surrounds.
Sail, swim, run, and play tennis or alternatively stroll along or relax on the sun-drenched beaches watching the world go by. Durban the Playground of the Zulu Kingdom
