The Triolet Shivala: Triolet is the longest village of the island. It is also well-known because it home to the biggest Hindu temple, the Maheswarnath Temple built in the 1819.
Pereybere : this remarkable small cove half-way between Grand Bay and Cap Malhereux is one of the finest bathing spots on the island. Its large lagoon lined with fine white sand is a real paradise for those who want to enjoy the sea or just soak in the sun.
The Labourdonnais Orchards: discover a large variety of tropical fruit trees, colourful and perfumed exotic flowers Ile aux Cerfs: a robinson crusoe like island, a paradise for water sports and has the most beautiful beach in Mauritius. Port Louis: the bustling captial of the country. It has a harbour sheltered in a semi-circle of mountainst mountains. The Natural History Museum: is located in a stone building erected in 1884 and now proclaimed a historical monument. Skeletons of two dodos and of other extinct birds, as well as a beautiful collection of specimens of marine species constitute the main attraction of this musuem. One can also contemplate an enormous cachalot skull and two specimens of the green giant tortoise.
Ganga talao: also know as the Grand Bassin. not far from Grand Bassin, is one of the two natural lakes of the island. The lake fills the crater of an extinct volcano and revered place for the Hindus.
La Citadelle - a stone fortress atop a hill,originally constructed between 1834 and 1840. Princess Victoria was garrisoned in the Citadel in the 1840s.
Pamplemousses Gardens - also know as royal botanical gardens is renowed for its giant water lilies and other exotic varities of aquatic plants and flowers.
Blue safari submarine - enjoy a walk on the seabed along with sea creatures and coral reefs Chamarel - A winding road, offering a superb view of the Morne, starts from the village of Case Noyale and ends at the coloured earth of Chamarel. The place is in fact a small undulated hill with contrasting hues, where the blue, green, red and orange shades are said to be the results of erosion. The Chamarel Falls nearby seem to emerge from the heath and the natural vegetation is breathtakingly beautiful.
L'Aventure du Sucre - an interactive and ultra modern exhibition situated at the heart of an ancient sugarmill. Blue Bay beach - it is one of the most popular bathing spots in the South-East of the island. An ideal spot for windsurfing and sailing.
